Article 1 – Scope

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") apply, without restriction or reservation, to any purchase of the following service:

Membership to a private member area, as offered by the service provider to professional clients (the \"Client\" or \"Clients\") via the website www.start-upworld.com.

The essential characteristics of the services are described on the website www.start-upworld.com.

The Client is responsible for reviewing the Terms prior to placing an order. The selection and purchase of a service is the sole responsibility of the Client.

These Terms are accessible at any time on the website www.start-upworld.com and shall prevail over any other document.

The Client declares having read and accepted these Terms by checking the box provided for this purpose before completing the online order process. Unless proven otherwise, the data recorded in the provider's computer systems shall constitute proof of all transactions concluded with the Client.

Applicable customs duties, local taxes, import duties, or state taxes may apply and are the sole responsibility of the Client.

Article 2 – Price

The services are provided at the current rates listed on www.start-upworld.com at the time of the order's registration.

Prices are displayed with and without taxes, depending on the currency and the relevant country's legal framework.

Any applicable discounts are included in the displayed prices. These prices are firm and non-revisable during their validity period. However, the provider reserves the right to change prices outside the validity period.

Processing, shipping, and delivery costs are not included and are charged separately under the conditions stated on the website.

The total amount due, including all charges, is communicated before the order is finalized.

An invoice will be issued upon delivery of the services.

Article 3 – Orders

The Client may place an order by:

  • Creating and logging into their account on www.start-upworld.com.
  • Reviewing and accepting the Terms.
  • Confirming their intent to purchase.

The order becomes final once full payment is received.

It is the Client's responsibility to verify the order’s accuracy and to report any errors promptly.

The provider reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of unresolved payment issues from a prior transaction.

Order tracking is available via the Client’s account on the site.

Article 4 – Payment Terms

Payments are made securely via: "Credit card"

The price is payable in full upon order confirmation.

Payment information is encrypted using appropriate security protocols.

Orders are only processed after confirmation of full payment.

Article 5 – Service Provision

Services are delivered as follows: Access to a members-only information-sharing area.

Delivery will occur within two (2) days of final order validation, unless otherwise stated.

The provider will make every effort to deliver services within the agreed timeframe, under an obligation of means.

If the service is not delivered within the specified period, the Client may request termination and full reimbursement as per Articles L216-2, L216-3, and L241-4 of the French Consumer Code.

Complaints must be made within one week after delivery, with supporting documentation, via email.

The provider will rectify or refund services found to be non-conforming.

Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, Clients have a period of 14 days to withdraw from a service contract without having to provide justification.

The withdrawal period starts from:

  • The day of the contract conclusion for services.
  • The day of receipt for goods.

Clients may exercise this right via the withdrawal form or by any clear written statement addressed to the provider.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days after the withdrawal notification.

Article 7 – Provider Responsibility – Guarantees

The provider guarantees, in accordance with legal provisions, the conformity and quality of the services provided.

Applicable legal articles:

  • L217-4 to L217-16 of the Consumer Code for conformity.
  • Article 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code for hidden defects.

In case of defect or non-conformity, the provider will rectify or reimburse the affected services at no additional cost.

Liability is limited to the value of the services paid by the Client. The provider shall not be held responsible for delays due to force majeure.

The services comply with French law. It is the Client’s responsibility to verify their conformity with local regulations.

Article 8 – Personal Data

Personal data is collected for service execution and may be shared with subcontractors as needed.

8.1 Data Collected:

  • Account creation: name, address, phone, email
  • Payment: card/bank details

8.2 Data Recipients:

  • Provider and authorized personnel only

8.3 Data Controller:

8.4 Purpose Limitation:

  • Data is not used for marketing unless explicitly consented to.

8.5 Retention:

  • Data retained for up to 5 years

8.6 Security:

  • Appropriate technical and organizational measures are in place, although full internet security cannot be guaranteed.

8.7 Client Rights:

Clients have rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability, and limitation.

Requests must be addressed via email or postal mail to the provider. Responses will be given within one (1) month.

Clients may lodge complaints with the CNIL or competent authority if needed.

Article 9 – Intellectual Property

All content on www.start-upworld.com is protected under intellectual property laws and belongs to Start-up WORLD or its partners. Unauthorized reproduction is strictly forbidden.

Article 10 – Applicable Law & Language

These Terms are governed by French law and written in both French and English. In case of discrepancies, only the French version shall prevail.

Article 11 – Dispute Resolution

Complaints should be addressed to customer service (see Article 1).

Clients may seek mediation or other alternative dispute resolution methods.

Unresolved disputes shall be submitted to competent French courts.
